Expectation vs Effort.
While listening to a good mate of mine on his podcast, I heard a wicked quote:
"Most people want elite-level outcomes without elite-level actions." – Will Foden (Hope I haven’t butchered that too much, mate.)
This applies to fitness, business & family—but especially fitness.
Your outcomes? A direct reflection of your inputs.
👉 If I let my doughnut addiction (it’s a real issue) take over and bosh a box of Krispy Kremes every day, I’ll be a big old goose by Christmas.
👉 But if I track my calories, keep protein high, and train hard… I’ll be ripped as fuck by my summer holiday.
We all know this—yet so many people fail to put in the right inputs.
Why? There’s a gap.
Expectation vs Effort.
Some people are just lazy. (I am sometimes.)
But for most, they don’t know how to bridge the gap between what they want and what they actually do.
We’ll dive deeper into building an action plan next week. But for now, here are 3 key things to consider:
1️⃣ Motivation isn’t enough. Consistent action shits on motivation every time.
2️⃣ Raise your floor, not your ceiling. How good can you be on your worst day?
3️⃣ Progress doesn’t need to be fast—but it still needs to be progress.
Want to start closing the gap?
